yeah. only if we sign up for it though.
-
Not anymore, they stopped doing that for some reason.
-
No it does not.
-
They stopped about 14 years ago. Good thing, I received crappy gifts while I gave out decent gifts.
-
Actually, we will try that this year.
-
and i dislike it.
-
Yes--only if we sign up. It involves 5 gifts and it gets to be a little too much. Personally, I don't participate.
-
Nope. We have a holiday party, and have a cash drawing for anywhere from 5-100 a person. You get one envelope for every year in service.
-
never worked at a place in my whole life so far that did that. is it fun,gay or what?
-
You have the option to participate and gifts don't exceed $25.

A previous employer did a round robin ornament swap. You couldn't spend more than $10 on an ornament and it had to be wrapped. Everyone drew #'s to see what order they would pick their "present". The person who had "1" would choose a present and open it. Everyone got to see what it was. The person who had "2" could either take "1's" ornament or open a new present. If they took "1's" ornament, then "1" got to choose a new present. This went on until the last person went. Ornaments got swapped back and forth and it made for a nice office party. We all had food, drinks, etc. This way you didn't have to worry about buying a present for someone you might not know very well, and everyone could always use a new ornament!

We have Secret Cheapo. Nobody buys anyone anything and everybody tries to figure out whose idea that was;)

Yes, but only in our department. I work in a major retailer, so having a giant, store-wide SS would be a disaster!! So we keep it in the department and use that opportunity to give "gag" gifts- typically the more offensive the better. Luckily everyone has a great sense of humor and has been warned about our evil ways! Muahahah! :P
