  • How do I, personally, deal with it? Well, take my answer with several grains of salt. I like to picture myself punching holes into a wall. I've only ever punch like 3 holes in separate walls, but it feels like more because every time anxiety, or anger, or sadness, hits me, I feel like I could demolish a whole wall with my fists. But, I picture it, count to ten, and relax. I have a hard time dealing with these things. Seriously, it just depends on where I am. If I'm home, I don't hold back and just start freaking out. If I'm at school or work, I try and laugh it off, shake it off, think about something else. You can't do that all the time, sometimes you just have to let go and freak out! Lose control. Just, not too much. 'Kay, I'm done.
  • I have some pretty bad anxiety issues, and I'm the type of person that tries to hold everything inside and not deal with it until it's too much. DON'T do that haha. Let things be as they are. Take everything day by day, and don't feel weird if you have to talk yourself out of it... count... deep breathing... whatever it takes.

  • Not really I have had situational anxiety but it's always in the middle of a crisis and I don't have time to do anything but bite down on it and carry on.
  • Yes. I take a step back, breathe, freak out a little, breathe some more, battle with myself, and then force myself to push forward. I also see a therapist weekly.
  • I do have meds for it but I always look at all the possible out comes and work toward the best one.
  • I have an anxiety disorder. My doctor prescribed Amitryptaline tablets.
  • I've had anxiety problems in the past, and I've taken medication for it. I also decided to join a support group, which I feel helped me a lot. It made me realise that I wasn't on my own, and I could talk to other people that also had anxiety problems. I received a lot of written/printed information from the group, about coping with anxiety, and anxiety management, which I keep for reference. I think a combination of medication, information, and meeting others, has helped me a lot. :-)
  • I seem to have used up all my stress coping hormone and I now take the generic for Atovan(sp). I can take it just when I need it.
