  • Tire air pressure is normally 30 lbs. for each tire. some manufacturers may vary this pressure, depending on the make and model of the automobile. my solara call for 29 lbs. are all four tires identical? if you have a mismatched tire, this may be giving you the appearance of an underinflated tire, compared to the other three. If your ride is ok and all your tires are in good shape, you should not worry. if still in doubt, take your automobile to a tire dealer and let them check it out. just for peace of mind.
  • This may come across as flippant and silly, but I'm completely serious. I've noticed the same thing on my tires, with the same result. It turns out (remember, I'm serious) that when I look at the tire from more than, say, 30 feet away without my glasses on, it looks low. Really low. When I put my glasses on, the tire looks OK. I verified the correct pressure with a tire gauge the first few times I noticed this, and it was always good. Maybe that says more about me and my eyesight than the tire, but you might as well consider all the possibilities when trying to solve a mystery. I hope this is useful, since it's a fix that won't cost anything...except maybe a new pair of glasses. That's a dfferent matter, though:) Good luck!
