I am going to answer this question the way I always answer questions similar to this with the old adage: "If you love something, let it go. If it comes back, it's yours, if it doesn't, it never was." Hope things happen happily for you.

This happened to me recently... It was so immensely painful... it honestly uncovered a lot of issues have with the way I think... I went spiritual on it... read a lot of books... basically the experience is teaching me to be a better person... (more specifically Buddhism books) 'Doodle Bug' provided a very good quote, if you love someone you should do everything in your power to help them gain happiness... I had to learn to let my ex go and the only way I could do it was to hold on to the idea that it's what I had to do for her to be happy... That's true love...

It hurts... believe me I know. I'm going through this right now, but you can't let yourself sit around and wait for them to come back to you. If he needs to be on his own and figure himself out to be happy, then let him. You don't want to be in a relationship with someone who isn't sure of what he wants. You should also take this time to learn more about yourself and what you want. I recently made a list of all the things I can do now that I'm single again, or the things I will be able to find in someone else that I never saw in him. It took a lot of thinking to find these things, but they're always there. You have to be wililng to accept that it may be over. Take your time to heal. If it's meant to be, it will all work out. If it's not you WILL be able to pull yourself back together and move on... in time.

i would wait....If i truely do love them...I will understand....it will be hard but true love doesn't happen every day.....it will all work out for the best no matter what happens.....
