  • For .01% it is getting sex from many people - but 99.9% it's the money. Prostitutes are nothing more than actresses that will tell you anything you like to hear as long as their getting paid to do so.
  • Money and gifts. I know a call girl who has a few regulars that will pay for almost anything she asks for. She is their on-dmend, no questions asked girlfriend. A girlfriend cares if he doesn't call. She prefers he not.
  • Mnay prostitutes love sex with many men and love their job!
  • This is a question that has numerous variables to consider that would take pages. As you know Amsterdam has legal prostitution, where you can go into a store and buy a woman for how many hours you would like, it works for them. It keeps the aids virus at bay as everyone has to have health checks and proof, it keeps the abuse of women to a minimal because its government regulated and there is no need for street walking. Whether or not is a social advantage I dont know, in a sense it protects the women if you really think about it as for personal, most likely the advantage is for the patrons as they dont have to worry about being arrested or that they are with a heroin dirty aids prostitute. Now having said that, I still think prostitution is negative for society. I dont see an advantage at all but its as old as the human race and it will never go away so it is most likely best to be regulated. I feel bad for any women who feels that all she can do is sell her body to make a living (men too) but then again the high end prostitutes make anywhere from 1500 to 6000 dollars a night and most likely can live with themselves. Its a loaded question with lots of angles I dont think you can get a simple answer on this one.
  • Someone posted about Amsterdam having to clean up their red light district so its obvious even regulated has its issues. I think no matter what, there will always be prostitution and crime will be linked to it because its a money making business, people will always want it, and it will never go away so its best to find ways to protect the ones who are involved, otherwise you end up with young girls on the streets who are on major drugs spreading disease and eventually ending up dead in a ditch. Its a terrible way to make a living, no doubt. No easy answers as I said.
  • I would say that the main societal benefit to legalising prostitution is that it keeps it off the streets to a degree. There will ALWAYS be prostitution, there will ALWAYS be street prostitution, but the more that it is legal, the more protection society can give to the women and men who work in the sex trade. And the real benefit to the average joe tax payer is that if its legal, you can tax that income and that pools to provide better schools/education/health benefits for the whole nation.
  • There is no advantage. AND NO NEED FOR IT!!!
  • Legalized Prostitution has many benefits for society 1. reduces revenue source for organized crime and gangs 2. reduces crime against prostitutes 3. increase tax revenues for states 4. Legalizes a sexual preference common to men (people who enjoy paying for sex) 5. creates a safe way for males who cannot find a partner, to have sexual relations with a woman. 6. Provides a legal job for the women who choose this profession People should be free to choose their sex partners, based on looks, or money or any other reason. Women and men should have freedom over their bodies, The government should not intrude into our sex lives.
  • For me, personally, I don't see an advantage. You do not say LEGAL prostitution, so I will not go there. Everyone else is. Prostitution is a way some people, both male and female, can earn a very lucrative income, without having any education. They also are frequently taken advantage of, end up drug addicts, drunks, or otherwise undesirable. They do not take regular medical checks, often do not ask, nor require, protection, and so on. Were it legalized and regulated, that would change.
