-

Got my license on the first try!
-
I failed the first two times. Got it the third time though.
-
First try with no faults, however I held my learner license for many years so I was well practised :o)
-
One try, and I was only dinged for not adjusting my mirrors when I got in the car. (Didn't need to; I drove there with my Father-in-law in the passenger's seat, so they were already set.)

One try. The only question I got wrong on the test was "bicycles are supposed to ride with or against traffic." I said against, like walkers, and was wrong. I don't know why there was a question about riding a bicycle on my driving test!
-
Two! Grrrr. I had made it through the entire first test and did everything *perfectly*. On my last turn on the way around the corner to park at the court house, I turned left from a straight only lane. :( My second try, I was a big 'ole mess! Screwed up almost everything and barely passed, lol!

Just once was all it took. Aced the written, did okay on the driving part because I had learned how to drive on an automatic but then I took my test with a stick:-)

One for my Operators License back in 1966. I tested in a 1958 Chevy Nomad wagon. That thing was a barge. Back then we had to parallel park. 2 times for my Commercial Drivers License for tractor/trailer in 1992. One cardinal rule is 'no gear change on railroad track' Apparently the RR owns 25 feet either side of the rails. My trailer was not clear of the 25 feet before I shifted. My examiner would not allow it even though I had cleared the rails by several feet. I had to parallel park the truck too, all 65 feet of it.

Just once. I passed the first time.
