  • G'day Anonymous, Thanks for your question. You could help find someone to provide references and possibly encourage him to do training. Helping him with resumes would also be good. Best wishes to you both.

  • If your bro has been to high school...then i think a safer option could be to start using and taking advantage of computer programmes like MS Office (to help with peoples document typing) or learn to use Photoshot (if hes creative in mind) and do some photo touching or logo designing. But i strongly feel the place for a person whos going 2 hav a challenging world to face, learn things of computer where in this world, everything has room for something with regard to computer. so be it Photoshop for photo editing, Corel Draw for designing banners and everything else, 3D Studio for cartoons, MS Word for documents etc, theres always room for computer literate persons. As for his felony and status, dedication hardwork and honesty can surpass these hurdles if he can be patient. God helps in many ways...find the path thru computers.Cheers!
  • Bad situation. Many employers will not hire felons no matter how much experience or training they have. I worked in the trucking industry all my life. I worked for a large company, as a supervisor I hired and fired. We were not allowed, by company policy, to hire anyone with a felony conviction. Smaller independent trucking companies will hire felons. Training for a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is short and relatively inexpensive. One could work the loading docks without a CDL or even operate yard equipment. Typical pay for driving is $14.00 to $20.00. Loading dock pay is less. Refuse/recycle companies always need help. See your county landfill. Some companies may hire for on site work while he trains for his CDL to drive a refuse truck. These jobs won't make anyone rich but you can make a good living. I hope he finds something.
