Getting error 0x80040707 when installing command and conquer generals how do i fix this?

you'll need to re-install. If you keep getting that same error then that means that some of the program didn't uninstall completly. You'll need to sweep your machine and registry for all traces of Command and Conquer Generals Files. ie, get your machine to a state before you tried to install it at all. If it still comes up then you've got a hardware or windows problem.

I have the same problem also. I tried disabling print spooler service. I don't think it helped
