People who perceive that their paychecks aren't going as far as they used to tighten their belts a little, or buy in bulk to combat rising prices, or negotiate higher wages to compensate. People who lose their jobs beat their wives, or commit crimes, or become burdens to their families, or become homeless. You make the choice.
