  • It depends on whether it was paid for by the company or not... if it was a company function, then yes they should invite all who would be required in a meeting (should that meeting have taken place at the office)... otherwise, no. Sadly, a lot of execs take advantage of their ability to charge things off to their companies and "client meetings" are actually social events... or golf weekends.
  • Perhaps it is a new initiative and they are breaking the groups up into smaller batches in order to keep the events manageable? Always think of the best option rather than the worst.
