What year has been the hardest for you to get through so far? What happened during that year that made it so difficult?

No doubt 2000 was tough. A member of my family was killed and I got divorced.

1995. Everything that I had dreamed of was falling apart. I went through a divorce

1969, I lost half my team in a firefight in Vietnam.

1997. I divorced my husband and found out he had spent all my $$. But, I back and better than ever!

1979, my father died. He was my best friend in the world. I still miss him every day.

Dang, I don't even feel like I should post after reading all that. It has been a difficult year for me. Lots of transitions and changes, several deaths of people who have meant a lot to me (people I know through church and various activities), graduating college, starting grad school and working (and the financial situation implicit in that arrangement), moving away from all my family and friends to a place where I don't know anyone and living alone. But for all that there have been a lot of good things happen, too.

1996, I had a still birth. I was only a teen at the time yet it was hard to deal with.

either '94 or '03. both of those years i had deaths in my immediate family. the first was difficult because i was younger, but the second was rough because it wasn't expected.
