When a woman is attracted to a man, why are other women's opinions about that man so important?

I am a man. this is just a personal opinion. attraction is like a magnet. unless you have experienced attraction, you will not understand my answer. Other womens opinion, about an attractive man, is the same as an attractive woman is to a man. the word is acceptance. maybe other men and womens opinions, give insight. maybe one of these other people, know this man or woman and can give further information, whether it be bad or good. my wife asked her best friend about me, before we were married. her best friends opinion made a difference as whether to date or not to date. my wifes best friend was my cousin! Everyone wants to be accepted by everyone else. believing a close friends opinion, about a male or female, has been the deciding point to date or not to date. In comparison, men or women, asking other men or women about a certain person, is like your credit score. the bank is going to check the credit bureau, to get their opinion about you, before they loan you money. again, its all about acceptance.

I agree with the acceptance part, but also I would like to add that "Best friends" or even close friends like to look out for each other interest, For example, if my best friend didn't like the guy I wanted to date...I wouldn't date him, Why, because you trust your friends judgement. Girls like to watch out for their hearts, If you really care for your friends, you wouldn't let them date a guy if you knew the guy would hurt them. It's like guys tell their friends not to sleep, or date the girl because one, she could be a slut, or they might even think she ugly, or they just don't like her. ( its like the guy said it's all about what u accept in a girl/guy) as well as what ur friends think of them.

If it is just attraction, I might ask their opinion to try to better understand his personality. It would be a select few I would ask, though. In general, I don't give a rat's butt what other women think of him. It is whether or not he matches what I need and want that matters to me.

Because women are smart enough to realize that love is indeed blind! They ask the opinions of others who are not caught up in the romance of the situation and can see him as he really is.

Evolution. Women who have kids with men who lots of women like will have children, most likely, that other women like. Duh.
