  • If ghosts exist, then they can see them with the same frequency that they are seem by all the other animals. Anonymous: Animals see with a "frequency"? No. The idea is they may see or sense the paranormal more then humans. kelson: actualy every one sees with a frequency. light is actualy a wave function, just like sound (It just moves faster than sound) heat UV microwaves and even gamma waves all function off of similar principals. most snakes can see a little bit into the infarared spectrum, and other animals can see into the Ultraviolet spectrum. also animals can sense things that humans cannot because they have more sensitive hearing and smell as well. perhaps they are not SEEING something you can't, but rather HEARING it. Joe: Actually, when I typed "frequency" so many months ago, I was referring to the potential number of times a year that a sighting might be observed. I agree, Anon, that some perceive our companion animals as having been endowed with sight-beyond-sight. Science has investigate this and it hsa lead to some of the observations expressed by Kelson. I agree also, given the acute and specialized hearing afforded them, our companion animals may very well behave strangely at hearing something we can not detect. One might even call the behavior, "Spooky."
  • One can notice that a dog owner's dog would start freaking out or behaving strange if it detects a ghost. This is most frequent, and very rarely do dogs ignore any ghosts.
  • Yes, dogs and cats can sense the presence of a ghost. But I believe that cats may be more likely to sense them than a dog.
  • I think they can sense them just like they sense someone breaking in They can feel the adrenaline....In the same since....
  • yes they do because i have to dogs myself and me and my friend were down stairs and my dog molly was asllep and the next minitue the door was open and she was sat looking out of the door growling at somthing that wasent there and it really freaked us out and sometimes she looks round the room and stares at something she can see and there was nobody else in the house. so i think that dogs can see ghosts
  • Yes dogs can see ghosts and spiderman.
  • They do say that dogs and cats are much more sensitive to the spirit world. If they actually 'see' or just have a sense of something i would not be sure.
  • I had a dog that just died this past Nov. and have 2 cats that was his friend for a yr and half before he past. The cats act sometimes as if he was there. Its hard to explain, but my dog layed in spots in the house, that my cat now lay in and they ways that they are laying there looking in the same direction what looks to be the same, is as if he's laying there right beside him. My partner came out of the bedroom 1 morning and my 2 cats, were laying down where my dog would lay, looking in the direction of the wall. We were talking the night before, on how we both have heard him in the house, the ways he would wimper, or snort(lol)so she said to them. Where's my boy and they looked at her, and then looked back in the direction of the wall. She said it again. They looked @ her, then back to the same spot!3 times in a row...Sometimes when the youngest cat(who was his buddy) walks and jumps around as if he was sniffing her butt, but no ones there! I beleive his spirt is in our home and I beleive my 2 cats, see him!!!
  • the other day 2 of my dogs started barking out of nowhere, last month some one past away here and that day when they started barking was in the same room. i went back to see if my dog was ok it was in the perfect daylight my dog was fine but she jumped on the bed and started grawling at something and i watched her eyes and she was moving her head very slowly to the right. i told everyone that there was a ghost here and my mother told me that, that wasnt the only time that had happend. so i do believe that dogs and see ghosts.
  • Just today, my dog started acting wierd! She was acting very skidish and darting her eyes around the room (mostly at the cieling) and wouldnt let us touch her. She also wouldnt go into the dinning room when we threw her toy into that room (which she always goes after). She was really freaking us out! We live in a 6-plex which was built around 1907. So I do believe she was looking at a ghost. Also, my cat started looking around right around the same time as my dog was. They were looking at the same thing together!!!!
  • I dont think so. Im not convinced ghosts even exist. No offence.
  • me and my girlfriend had a baby ten months ago she stares at the same place often and laughs .and our dog sits at the same place and barks and growls at the same time.me and my girlfriend hav always thought that there was something in this house .when we both moved in it was after a couple of months my girlfriend woke me up an d said something was touching her face and ear, then about a week later i was woken up by something that was touching my face and chest we hav been trying to find out answers and so far we hav been told things could hav happend in our house before we moved in ,but thats not hte answer am looking for any help .no crap this is serious
  • Yes, animals do. I believe they can see ghosts.
  • In my TV room, when I have my cat in there with me, she looks at the ceiling and her eyes move around it like she's following a bug or a lasor light around but there's nothing up there. Once in while she'll look up and run away and will not come back into my room...
  • I don't know about seeing them but most animals have more acute senses than we humans, ghosts make the room noticeably colder from their point of origin and dogs could probably sense where this cold spout is coming from and therefor probably know where it is if there was one and they are in deed real.
  • I'll ask my dogs when I get home :)
  • I believe they very well may. I've seen Hannah react to the spirit of my partner's Grandma, who either lives with us or at least visits on a very regular basis. She was told, (my partner that is) that there was the spirit of an elderly woman, whom she knew, that lived with her and her son, and that the woman was there to help look after her son, who was a toddler at that time. A roommate we had AND myself have BOTH seen Grandma...at different times. When we described (separately) to my partner what we saw...she said it sounded EXACTLY like her Grandma...and what she was wearing when she died. She has never seen her (and admits she would rather not..loved her to bits, but is scared to see her now) I've also seen our "Scaredy cat" Sam, who chooses to live and stay upstairs, reacting to Grandma...I didn't see HER THAT TIME, but what I saw was Sam up on a storage box, sitting and then sitting UP..pushing against SOMETHING...as if he were being petted! Grandma LOVED cats! Grandma also used to change the channel at night on our roomie's TV...from whatever she was watching to the old game shows...like "Password" that Grandma loved to watch... Pretty trippy stuff...and I'm not making any of it up either!
  • Dogs are energy radar systems. They go completely off of energy, so I wouldn't be surprised if many dogs could pick up on invisible waves we can't detect.
