  • You might try going to computer properties and uninstalling your audio device, then restarting your computer to let it redetect the device. You may have multiple problems with the slow boot. A safe start is to run anti-virus and spyware software. AVG at grisoft.com is free and Spybot Search and Destroy is free. Find both at download.com. Good luck.
  • I know that the MS Website can not pin point problems most of the time. They just give you the best guess, from a list of answers in a database. But it's very possible that your problem isn't listed in the MS website trouble shooting database. Your best choice is to seek out and find the problem yourself. First you will need some maintenance programs to help you out. Download and use "SpyBot Search And Destroy" http://www.safer-networking.org and "Free Registry Fix" http://www.freeregistryfix.com . These are free to download, use, and keep. Next you should scan your entire computer for viruses, or anything else that isn't welcome on your computer. This is also free, but it takes time and patience to complete the scan and remove whatever doesn't belong on your computer. So you should set aside some time to allow this free and safe program to search your computer. It's called "Trend Micro House Call" http://housecall.trendmicro.com It's a very trusted site. Good Luck - Stephen
  • OK, this means that you have just turned the system on after it has had a blue screen error. However you have the setting that automatically restarts the machine afterwards. Do stop the auto restart (giving time to analyse the blue screen error) do the following. Start > Run > [Type]'Control.exe' > Run > System > Advanced tab > Startup and recovery [frame] > Settings > System failure [frame] > Un-check 'Automatically restart' > OK > OK Done. Next time you get a stop error, you will be able to analyse the details, and search the codes online for a solution.
