Domestic spending... and focus on it all the way down to the local/state levels. Too many pork barrel projects out there and special interests getting their greedy hands on our money.

I still think alot of money is wasted on people too lazy to get a job. I think there should be a mandatory drug test weekly to everyone that is receiving welfare. Even if it's a hair folical test, that has to be cheaper than supporting all the free-loaders.

Reducing the size power and intrusiveness of the Federal Government should be the current focus. Get that done and the spending/deficit problems should take care of themselves.

They should concentrate on foreign policy, controling the lunatics in Iran, North Korea, and Venezuela, controling the borders, and figuring out a clear plan for their Iraq effort and get it done instead of screwing around year after year with the whole thing. Out of your two choices, domestic spending is more of an issue than the deficit.
