it gonna hurt for awhile depending on how much you liked the girl. i have been in a similar situation except i have liked someone for a long time and he finnaly got a girlfriend and now i know i will never have a chance with him. it still hurts a lot but i am trying to keep myself busy and realize that there are other people out there for me who have the ablity to love me back and make me happy. over time the wounds will heal and i promise you will be able to be happy again...

Not to be harsh on you man, but what do you expect after 2 years of working on making a mountain out of a molehill? Of course it hurts, rejection does, especially if you haven't experienced a lot of it before. There's one thing you just need to do; accept the fact that you got rejected, move on and stop groveling in your misery. Let me tell you a few facts about life. You're going to be rejected in the future too! And not just a few times, I'm going to say that at least nine out of ten girls will reject you, so you should start picking up a new attitude towards the whole thing. Get used to it, learn from it, build your confidence. This is THE way to reduce the rejections you get. They will always hurt, but once you learn about it, it won't hurt so much. You'll always get a bump in your ego, but hey, you can hammer it out with less and less effort, and you'll succeed more. And what comes to the girl... There will be nicer, more beautiful and in every way, more appealing girls in your future - trust me. So snap out of it, and find someone else who can reject you. Learn from it. And make sure it takes you a maximum of 2 minutes to ask her out - it's not very nice to keep her waiting for 2 years, you know :)

hey come on - if it took you 2 yrs to pluck up courage, you probably knew she was out of your league. Time to get brave, ask someone out who might say yes and be interested, then your confidence will grow - who knows, this chick may be after you in a couple of years time???
