No, then it would just be boring. The last thing i want is a boring career.

Yes, I have a great work ethic. I've been with my company for 26 years now and I can't just slack off like so many others in my office.
-
Yes I do and I have always done it....I pride myself on good work ethics. At the end of the day I feel really good about myself.
-
Yes, I guess because I have pride and I want whatever I do to be done right?
-
No. Only about 70%. The other 30% I give at home.
-
When I worked in a corporate setting, yes. Now I have a very relaxed job with no supervisors and I'm left by myself to complete the job as I see fit. The pay is less but I have no stress. I do find myself slacking quite a bit, but since no one is there to watch...? I do get the work done but as far as effort is concerned, I do what they pay me for..no more and no less.
-
No, more like 95% to be realistic.

Yep. I have to say that I truly go above and beyond. As a result, every 'special project', every 'chronic' problem (my specialty), anything odd or out of the ordinary that requires special research, etc. lands on my desk. I am also the one who is the 'beta' tester for any new applications as well as the one selected to train others. I'm good at what I do and I enjoy what I do, though, so I find all the extra stuff interesting, challenging, and a break from the rare monotony. My manager relies on me and knows that anything she gives me will be handled. At the end of the day, I know I've worked hard, done my best, and it leaves me with a sense of satisfaction, and that is what it's all about. Just sliding by doesn't hold any charm for me.

No...I'm doing the best i can. they underpay me.....
-
only if i like the job.

Depends on the job. I have worked places where no matter how much I gave, I was expected to give at least 10% more. I learned very quickly not to give it my all in a situation like this.
