There were more than a few Mercedes Benz 180D and 190D, produced between 1954 and 1962 and affected to the public taxi services in Uruguay, which recorded that mileage and more. One of them is at display in the MB Museum in Germany, with the original black and yellow colours, the taxi number plate and even the manual hand-winding taximeter. Few of those cars can also be seen today, highly restored, circulating through the streets of Montevideo on special festive days.
