  • I have an old original aluminum xmas tree that was my grandmother's. (The kind that turns around and a multi-colored light shines on it). It means alot to me because I love the holidays and I used to watch this same tree for hours on end when I was young, and now my son loves it too. However..grandma SOLD it to me whe she was going to the rest home! Oh well...:)
  • We do, as well as decorate the inside and outside of the house, and also have a nativity scene set up to remember what the holiday is really about. The tree represents our family, past, present, and future for us, and we have a lot of old ornaments, some bought, some homemade, some from the kids when they were small, and others from people who are no longer with us and it is a time for us to reflect on the great times we've shared with those departed and the great times still to come.
  • Yes because my husband loves the season and also because my g/daughter loves to come and decorate it with us. It smells good and it means we have some place pretty to put her presents.
  • We don't put one up. The cats would just tear it up. I'm not much into Christmas anymore anyway. It's gotten way too commercial. If we were really celebrating the true meaning, it wouldn't be about the buying and decorating.
