Frank Zappa has at least 81 albums, 20 of these are double albums. This does not include the 30 or so compilations. I would love to list them, or , you can count for yourself at ALL MUSIC GUIDE.

I'm pretty sure that a Japanese noise artist, Merzbow, has the most albums:

    Studio albums: 260 (NO REMASTERS/REMIXES!)
    Live albums: 65
    Compilation albums: 4
    EP's: 30
    Soundtracks: 13
    Tribute and Cover Albums: 2
    Remix albums: 3
    Box sets: 10
    Compilation tracks: 222
    Splits: 35
    Other Appearances: 103

As far as I can see, that beats all of the things in this list (I don't think you should count the Sinatra Remasters)
