The answer to this is the same as the answer to EVERY question regarding sex and possibility of pregnancy. IF YOU HAVE SEX, YOU CAN GET PREGNANT. Period. Whether you're on the Pill, the shot, the patch, using condoms or a combination of these items, YOU CAN STILL GET PREGNANT. Other than a complete hysterectomy (where your female reproductive organs are REMOVED from your body, there is NO FOOLPROOF method of birth control - there is always a slight risk of pregnancy. However, in the scenario you described I would say the odds are slim that you could get pregnant. You need to be on the Pill for 10 days before it is considered at it's maximum effectiveness. If you are indcluding the 4th week of inactive pills, you would have been on the Pill for 21 days at the point you had unprotected sex. If you are NOT including your inactive week of pills, you would have been on the Pill for 19 days - either way, you were past the 10 day mark, so you are as protected from pregnancy as you can possibly be. However, having said that, please remember that the Pill does NOT protect you from STDs. Be safe ! :)
