No one owes you a living. But you don't owe it to anyone to be their slave either. Don't give up your bargaining advantage. Always have one foot in the stirrup, ready to leave at a moment's notice. Losing a job is not a bad thing. Not finding another job is a bad thing. The shame is society's expectation that someone else will create you a job. We should spend more time learning to create our own jobs. If we all have money then no one will bother working. Nothing will be produced. Eventually, the hungriest person will build a farm. Money makes you rich. Money makes me rich. Money makes us poor. Production makes us rich. Sometimes you have to work your guts out in a crap job to get to your goals. But if you're 'happy' working your guts out in a crap job, why will your boss bother to promote you? The new guy might not do the crap job well! Become an expert in what you love so people will pay you to do what you love. If you become an expert in what you hate then you'll never get to do what you love. If your job can't afford to pay you enough money to buy a house, raise a family and then get back to work the next day then it isn't a real job. You could get a similar result from indulging in your hobbies. Hard workers are a dime a dozen with ten cents change. There's plenty of hard work available for those willing to work hard. Whether they get paid hard is another thing.

What is this thing called "work"? Please explain...Im intrigued.

Its service to humanity. I do it wholeheartedly, I only do ethical work, and I only do enough so that I can still have a good life and lesiure time. 4 days a week is the most.

My philosophy about work is that the situation be fair for both the employer and employee. I believe a very fair wage is needed for the employee so they are productive.If one is underpaid then they will,in turn,do as little as they can for the employer and both loose.When an employer pays minimum wages it actually hurts the company for they will have to retrain constantly thus loose money.These days a wage less that $16 an hour is inappropriate for anyone in any position.Some companies pay of an incentive basis,I do not mean in sales,I mean if one is productive they deserve more.So a well paid productive employee will create a constructive atmosphere to create maximum profits for the company.
