They started out at $600.00 and are now (at Wal*Mart) for $399.00, so I'd say yeah probably.

Probably yes, to $399, but it is also losing some important features, like backward compatibility. I would buy a Nintendo Wii and Xbox 360 instead for a better variety of games. (See Wii60.com for a laugh, but also pretty much true!)

sony are controlling the the price of the ps3 and will continue to for quite some time, so you are unlikely to see price differences between different stores. the most you can expect to see is deals like free games accesories or blu ray movies. the five free blu ray deal is only on for blu ray products purchased before jan 08
