With all of the nonsense questions that are asked on AB, how can some questions be flagged as "Nonsense", and others not?

No one really bothers to flag anything other than offensive or something thats overtly stupid.

You know what, I've just flagged a year 2006 question as nonsense. Probably such questions were just overlooked, while the others were easily identified. No one in particular is being targeted, I think.

It depends whether people are or not to flag them and also the 'rules' of what is Nonsense change occasionally. For instance, Fill in the Blanks weren't always considered Nonsense but now they are usually flagged as such. Most questions with links in them are considered Nonsense. If they aren't a question, they are considered Nonsense. But then again, if a person wants to go to bat for their question because many people answered it or it got lots of points, they can get their "Nonsense" questions reinstated.
