I'm sure I wondered that at some point. But I remember watching a show on how paper was made when I was younger.

my dad was #1 machine-man/supervisor for 40years at a paper-mill in Sydney, Australia and many times I went and watched paper being made ... different types and cardboard as well ...but its changed now ...different chem's used and more modern-ways ...with so much less pollution to both the air and the water
