  • I laugh when I figure it out. I don't realize what I'm doing, especially with my hands, when I'm speaking sometimes.
  • its a complement
  • There are very few people who have the balls to do that in front of me, being a 20 yr. Marine veteran, but they do sometimes try to imitate my voice, as it is very deep, and still has the bite of military bearing to it despite early retirement. I just laugh with them. You can't just go around smacking those who have it coming.........at least that's what the judge says......;)
  • When people do it to me, I think they've read some kind of self-help book. It's supposed to be a 'make-you-like-me' technique. I think it only works if the other person doesn't know about the technique. ~~~ On the flip side, you sometimes see very reflexive mirroring happening with couples in the early stages of a relationship - I find that kind of cute to watch.
  • I laugh and try to stop and move on. I'm usually the one imitatading people, though.
  • Your question made me laugh out loud. No one has ever disrespected me in this way yet. I guess it's because I speak with my mouth only and not together with my body.
