  • The main canon of Buddhism can be found in the Tipitaka. Within the Tipitaka is: The Vinaya Pitaka which is basically the code of ethics. The Sutra Pitaka is full of acts of buddha's teachings. and the third is the Abhidharma Pitaka, which I cannot recall exactly what it referred to at the moment. there are other texts as well, but I cannot remember them off hand.
  • No it doesn't. There are hundreds of different Suttas or Sutras (texts) but none is the core of Buddhism in the way that the Bible is of Christianity.
