Well I don't know a whole lot but I know my background in the order from the most in my blood to the least in my blood: Polish, German, Irish, English, Greek, with a Smack of French. The Polish and Greek come from my mother's side. The German, Irish, English, And French are from my Father's side. I am named Miranda because my mother stumbled upon it when reading Shakespeare's "The Tempest" in Highschool and said then that if she had a Daughter, that would be her name. Her and my father went over a few other names, but ultimatley, they did end up going with Miranda. My last name actually isn't my original last name. I won't give out what my last name is now, but it was originally spelled Assel. However, my great grandmother, who married in to the name on my dad's side, wasn't too fond of the names she and her children were getting called and so her and my great grandfather agreed to change it to what it is today. My last name is of German ethnicity, and my mother's Maiden name was Polish being that both of her parents were mainly Polish. I'm about 40 something percent polish, and good chunk German, and everything else I mentioned above in smaller portions.

mate I have relo's in England, Scotland , America, Canada, Greece, Italy and about another half a dozen countries ... so Im a bit of a 'bitsa'....lol and my first name came about when one of my mums relo's wrote to her from the states and said that the had seen a new movie with 'Alan Ladd'in it called Shane in 1955 so I was named after the movie and Im sorry but my last name will remain a secret ... to many autograph hunters about !:)

My family is all from Japan but I was raised in America. My first name was chosen because there was some kind of model or actress that my dad and his friend thought was hot and they had a competition for who's daughter gets that name. My last name means "high bridge" which likely meant that wherever my family came from, it was next to a high bridge. Japanese names are like that a lot of the time.

My father's from Limerick, Ireland, of the Flynn family. He was orphaned and adopted by the Carlins. My mother's family (Noller) hails from Ireland, Scotland and Germany. My given name is Alyson Carlin. I was named after an Elvis Costello song... here's an acoustic version in the video. My daddy used to sing it to me so I would go to sleep ^_^
