Yes since you did not define which country. Oh I say that because I am a "Yes man" type of guy ;-)

-

-
Gambia sucks, that's all I know.

America is a shithole with bad aim, splashing its effluent culture all over the rest of the world. Australia has its problems as well. National boundaries are irrelevant.

I have not lived in all countries so I can only answer based on my experiences. Also, I cannot answer the question itself because I cannot speak for anyone but myself. I am also incapable of a short answer on this. I know that America has many flaws and many benefits. I know that being poor in America is rough but I know it is rougher elsewhere. I know that my people have it MUCH worse in EU. I factor into living in America what Rromani go through in other nations, like those with forced sterilization of us, shoving us into ghettos, denying us education, and the start, again, of concentration camps. I know that racism is rampant here, I know that it is everywhere else. If I were to think about living somewhere else, it would be Canada due to their health care system but I do not know if it would be better. I would, after that, think about Britain, but they have in the works yanking the citizenship of all Rromani and Irish Travellers even if they are born there. So, I say... I do not know but it is one of the better places for me to live. My parents left Romania so I could have a better life (first moved to Canada, I was born and my mother died, than my father and I to America). I do not like Bush and I do not approve of the war but I think that, for me, America is the best bet. For someone else, who knows.
-
I like Canada best...but that's a preference. This isn't a competition.
-
Yes, I do not know which Country it is but I am all for peace and happiness and if that is what you believe then it is true for you. Personally I have visited many countries and still could not say which is the best.
-
yes or no, mmmmmm, dunno:-)
-
There is no such thing as the 'best country in the world'. A country is made of land and people, and there is beauty to be found everywhere.
-
Well, I don't know. What country are you referring to?
-
who knows what country yr talking about? i do find the idea of nationalism to be a bit outdated though, so no i don't think any country is the best country in the world.
-
The country with the most livable cities compared to its population is either Switzerland or New Zealand. Personally, I think NZ is the best country in the world.
-
well being that I have NEVER been to any other country I have nothing to compare to so I can not give an educated answer or even a valid oppinion.
-
I don't know, I havn't visited them all yet. How many have you been to, aside from your own? I'm going to hazard a guess at a big fat none. Yes or No?
-
I guess it would be the country where all views are heard without the threat of violence, murder or imprisonment. A country where the people have free education, health care and a welfare state that looks out for it most vulnerable. A country where justice is blind and all are given the right to take their leaders to task. A country of meritocracy where all have equality of opportunity and does not discriminate by how much money or position one has.

no.

I hate superlatives. Well, I've only been to two countries in my life: the USA and the Dutch Antilles. And though Bonaire was a lovely island with a great legal system and no traffic, I'm so much accustomed to traversing large areas of land to get simple things done (such as shopping or leisure) that I would go entirely mad if made to live there. Cabin Fever comes to mind. Of the two, I would rather live in America, and visit the antilles. However, the hubby and I are planning our first European excursion for next year, and we'll see if I want to live in Ireland more than America. ^_^

It looks like an U.S. flag what you are using as an avatar. Here a list of the best countries in the world: "#1 Sweden 1683 points x20 #2 Denmark 1598 points x20 #3 Netherlands 1572 points x20 #4 Finland 1514 points x20 #5 Germany 1422 points x21 #6 UK 1407 points x21 #7 Canada 1373 points x19 #8 Switzerland 1326 points x18 #9 Norway 1320 points x17 #10 Belgium 1208 points x19 " Source: http://www.vexen.co.uk/countries/best.html On this page, there is also a list of best of for various issues "Why the U.S. is Not the Best Country in the World": "In this article I consider the common claim that the United States is the best country in the world. I examine the factors of freedom, literacy, health, happiness, and wealth, and conclude that the U.S. is 13th best, and that actually Norway is the best country in the world." http://www.bloomu.edu/departments/philosophy/pages/content/hales/articlepdf/bestcountry.pdf
