  • what ingratitude,only one minute.
  • Yes we should, and then a minute of worship for the "very smart decisions" Mr. Bush is making.
  • We should make it at one and at four on Sunday before football games so that the whole society will best be incorporated in the heartfelt sentiment to these brave individuals.
  • No. Instead, we should spend a minute e-mailing our Congressional representatives and Senators demanding that they budget for a fully-funded withdrawal (and override the President's veto) so that those brave men and women no longer die in Iraq.
  • If you feel like "you" should do it then yes.
  • uh, for me, it's already silent....I don't talk to myself when I AB... But I'll fly a flag for all those "brave men who are dying in Iraq". Justanex asked for an Iraq flag....
  • Every day. I try to at least see every name of the fallen http://www.militarycity.com/valor/honor.html
  • No. If we did it every week no one would appreciate it or think about what they're doing.
  • a minute? i appreciate that you thought of this, but that's poor repayment for fathers, brothers, sons, mothers, sisters and daughters giving up years of their lives, the rest of their lives, to help people. and it's not just brave men dying. it's brave women as well. i propose that sometime in the near future, we go a day without speaking. i've done it, seven times. it's amazingly peaceful. but yes i will have a moments silence. i've had one everyday for the last year and a half. i have people i love very much fighting in iraq, and i thank you for thinking of this, although it is very little repayment for what they are doing for us.
  • That is a good idea.
  • Or we could just bring them home and stop fighting a pointless war, and avoid the need for a silence every week altogether.
  • I think it would be more beneficial if you found a way to help the families left alive afterwards cope. There again, I take it this gesture would also include any Iraqis that have gone to the same way - perhaps some sort of fund would be easier to organise.
  • Why don't we be brave ourselves and start an anti-corporate insurrection?
  • it's not the minute of silence that gives honor....it's the thought of the selfless acts the young men and women over there are doing that maters the most...a full withdraw will only hold back the inevitable.....These people are not only helping to better the US they are trying to better the world....many people do not get that.....it's not all about us....it's about a better world for our children.....i mean come on.... why sign up if you dislike fighting or trying to help others????My brother is there...my twin brother....and we couldn't pay him to stay...he chose to go there....he wants the world to be safer for his family....and he believes if fighting a war is the only way well.....he has his 9 and m4...and he is trying to save the world one mission at a time.....they do not need a better funded withdraw...they need a better funded army period. big PERIOD...
  • We should be thinking about them every day.
  • Yes we should!
