If a student is considered a danger to themselves or others then the school can call 911. And the police/emt can take you to the hospital.

I'm not sure that I understand the question. I will say that a high school has the right to call upon a psychiatric evaluation team from it's local mental health services to come and assess whether or not the student is harmful to self or others. The high school also has the right to bring social services into the picture if the student's parents do not appear to be providing care or treatment to a child in need of physical or mental health care.

A school cannot commit a child to an institution, they can ask for the child to be assessed by psychiatrists and a team of mental health professionals.
