Like appetizers like.. cheese and crackers... you can get an assorted box of gourmet desserts from Bj's. It all depends on what kind of friends you have.

You need to have a tea service consisting of teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl and hot water jug with some dainty cups and saucers. You should serve a selection of sandwiches and cakes. Sandwiches should be small and tasty each one with multiple fillings. The cakes should be petit fours, you know the little round and square cakes that have pretty almond icing and a beautiful icing decoration on top like a flower or a bird. The best cake shops make them. There should also be a sponge cake available. Preferably a white sponge with cream and strawberrys on top. Oh, and nice white napkins can make a lovely difference.
