• Uhmm, the reason you're being downrated is that the ignorance being displayed here is not Canadian in origin, it's yours. You take the reference to our Government being communist (untrue) and I bet those negative rates stop. In order for our Government to be communist requires that the Communist Party of Canada be elected to Parliament. They haven't even got a single seat, so it's not possible for the Government to be communist.
  As to your comments:
  1/ Weed is NOT legal. ( Ignorance of our laws, huh?)
  2/ Taxation has nothing to do with what form of government there is, anywhere. High taxes? Compared to where? One could argue that one US State's sales tax is communist as compared to it's neighbour, if you use taxation as a basis of determining a socialist (in your case communist)government or not.

• 3/ Almost no military presence?: That argument falls flat on it's face. So you're saying that the former USSR had no nukes pointed at the USA and that all American presidents since the 1950's lied about the fact just to build up their own arsenal. I guess China and N Korea aren't communist, according to your criteria either.

  1)weed isnt legal. its decriminalized, meaning that its not illegal either. ignorance of your own law.
  2)i wasnt saying that you have high taxes because you are communist, i was addressing suzycue's belief that she lives in a conservative environment.
  3)again i was addressing the conservatism comment.
  
  also... yes you are ignorant, i didn't seriously call canada communist. if you read the answer you would have seen that i was joking and i didnt refer to canada as socialist... socialistic meaning that they tend to lean towards social welfare.

• 1/ Ok. Come here and smoke a joint in front of a cop and see how long he laughs at you, before cuffing you and hauling you off. It's illegal. There was talk of decriminalizing it and it almost passed as law but it didn't. You are doing well at starting to pass yourself off as an arrogant person with no idea of which he/she speaks.
  2/ Your attempt at qualifying what determines a conservative, socialist or communist government is , lacking any sort of cohesive argument and is simply based on some misguided and ill informed opinion on how YOU perceive the world and not in fact, reality.
  3/ As I stated, after your whining "EDIT: JUST AS I SUSPECTED THE CANADIANS ARE NOT RESPONDING WELL AND HAVE BEGUN TO DOWNRATE ME. READ COMMENTS IF YOU TRULY WANT TO KNOW CANADIAN IGNORANCE." , you'd probably not get downrated if you removed the communist comment. Lets face it. You didn't put that in there as a joke but rather as some form of barb. Do us a favour. Stop wasting our air.

• One last word...I hope.
  The current Conservative government did not initiate the social welfare and excellent health care programs in Canada...these have been in place for 50 years. However, Canada is world reknown as one of the best countries in the world to live...and this was endorsed by the U.N. I am from another country...I chose Canada because of its humanistic programs, its multiculturism, its standard of living, and its relative safety. All of those factors are being upheld by our government, whichever party happens to be in power at the time...to a lesser or greater degree.
