Is it just me or do you hate it when you're watching a TV show/movie and then when the commercials come on they are SUPER loud?

That just happened to me. The show was not loud enough so I turned it up a bit. commercial nearly blew out my eardrums! It was for E Insurance.

You are not the only one...I have sensitive hearing and when they come on I just about jump out of my skin.

It is interesting that, like me, everyone says they hate this, yet the television auditors deny it happens. Over and over again. What is wrong with their ears or are they just stuffed with bribes?

They do this to get your attention. The human brain is REALLY good at tuning out non-essential information. It's actually gotten to the point now where I will pre-load a show I want to watch on the DVR by pausing the TV for awhile and going off to do something else. Than I'll just come back, hit play, and skip over all the commercials. Sometimes I feel bad for advertisers, but then I remember that they're scum and I don't feel so bad anymore.

Thank god my new TV has auto volume thingy, it doesn't really bother me anymore. But the world would be a better place, if there were no commercials at all. Because, good stuff doesn't need advertisement, only junk.
