there probably the same ones who whinge their tits off about a government ...but never get there arses out and vote !

What was that last part? Change the channel manually? Can you please explain what that means, ya lost me.
-
You gotta find it some time, or accept a lifetime of manual channel-changing. May as well find it now.
-
My kids do that all the time
-
A great mystery.

Because the controls on the television only offer very limited options these days. If you want to change the channel at the television, you have to scan through the channels until you get to the one you want. In this era where you can have hundreds of channels on your television, that can be very cumbersome. It is a lot easier when you have the remote so that you can enter the channel directly. It is not like it was in the 70's when we had only 12 channels tops.

If i know what I want to watch, I have no problem with changing the channel manually. Unfortunately, I cannot access the TV listings without the remote, and by the time I get through a couple hundred channels manually, whatever I found that looks interesting enough to watch would be over!
-
I do this, not because I'm lazy, but because I know if I don't find it now I'm gonna find it in two years hidden under my chair with an assortment of other goodies.
-
It's an investment in the future. If they find the remote their butts won't have to leave the cushion for the rest of the night.
-
I don't know why, my husband and children do this all the time! I hide it intentionally sometimes just to see how long they will search. After about 10 min. he{hubby} will not go to the TV to change the channel, he will find something else to do! This is so odd to me!My kids just yell "Mooooom, wheeerrree isss the reeeeemooooote!"
-
hmmmm......hmmmm.... because it takes too long to reach it manually?
