  • Take them to the Vet.
  • You could go to some health stores and buy cheap oils that help the cold. I am sorry to hear that also.
  • Go to the Pharmacy and get eye drops for conjunctivitis but better still, go to the vet. Or, (glancing above) pester Break_Me_Off_A_Piece_Of_Dat_MATT-itude constantly until his wife comes home and he asks her!
  • Why would someone DR this Question???? Hi Kitt.. explain the situation to your vet and ask if he can give you some advice or point you to a local animal shelter. +5
  • if you are going to keep them yourself, then call your vet and ask for advise, this shouldn't cost anything and go to your pet shop get a book on kittens, eyedrops and they should be checked for worms, and any other underlying health issues. if you aren't keeping them, then take them to the spca.
  • Take them to your local no-kill shelter. If you take them to an SPCA, they'll likely just be killed, but they do need some vet care, and if you can't afford it, you really can't afford to keep the kittens and they should find homes with people who can.
  • go to www.paws.org and see if they can refer you to someone in your area. They are likely to need about two weeks of amoxicillin and some eye drops. My wife and I have fostered around 200 sick kittens and have seen this many times. Contact PAWS, they might be able to direct you to a local shelter. If you want to keep them, you will need to contact a vet and take them in. Also a local vet may be able to point you in the right direction.
  • I know how you feel Kitt-tastic. I lost two kittens to this same thing. I can barely take care of myself let alone pay a vet bill. You can start by cleaning their eyes out with warm water. Being very gentle of course! Leave the cloth a bit damp and let it rest on their face for a few seconds to loosen up the snot that is dried on their poor little faces. Try using a triple antibiotic cream in their eyes. Of course it is best to get to a vet, but I know about not being able to afford one. I am going to the PAWS site that Nelson suggested, right now. Please let me know if you find out anything. I have a couple of kittens going through the same thing as I type this. I don't want to lose any more of them.
  • Cheep oils won't help. These kittens sound like they have an upper respiratory infection. They need antibiotics. Also take a clean warm damp wash cloth and hold it on their eyes to get some of the gook out. If you have any children's amoxicillin and a medicine dropper give them .25 ML 2 times a day. If not ask someone if they can help you pay for the vet visit or ask your local ASPCA for help. They will need to get antibiotics though. I am going to school to be a vet. If they are about 8-10 weeks old they shouldn't need KMR, but make sure you are giving them hard and soft food. When kittens are sick they sometimes won't eat their food. Try to give them some chicken, they seem to love chicken even if they are feeling worse than ever. Make sure you keep them warm and hydrated. If they won't eat at all they will need vet care ASAP. Like I said you can ask your local ASPCA if they can help, sometimes they have a vet on staff that can look at them for you without charging you, especially if your volunteer once in a while. Let me know how they are doing. Oh another thing, look at their eyes and tell me if they look pink, kind of like it looks when humans get pink eye. If it looks like this then they have pink eye, do the same with the damp warm wash cloth, but after words put some antibiotic ointment around their eyes to stop the itchiness and help the infection go down.
  • Call your vet and ask if there is a no-kill shelter in your area. Take pictures of them and post them on your facebook, myspace, or twitter to see if anyone can take care of some or all. Good Luck!
  • Check with the Feral Cat Coalition in your area. (www.FCCO.com). They can and will help. Bless you for taking on these little babies.....(do check with the humane society in your area, and ask for assist as well...they'll help to connect you to assistance in your area.)
  • You need to just put them to sleep, they won't survive out there they'll just suffer and slowly die. Easiest way to help is to drown them a bucket of water, good luck
