  • Curious Frank.......how may I help you? Curious Frank.......and the Answer is?
  • at home I say Hello, unless it is a 1-800 number calling then I pick up and press as many buttons as possible before hanging up, lol. And I go to college at the moment, so I don't answer a work phone.
  • at home I always answer hello at work I answer Hello this is (company name) This is Amanda and how may I be of help to you today. and no I have yet to mix them up.
  • I have caller ID at home so before I pick up I know whether or not to say something goofy...as I always do when my granddaughter calls. For everyone else I just say Hi Sis or Hey Brother or whatever their name is. I work in peoples homes so I answer with, ".Hello this is the Smith's residence ."
  • at home i just say hello or by the persons name because I use my cell for my home phone. At work i say, "Good Morning Griffin Communities, this is sara" and sometimes when i am on a personal call i want to say my work greeting. I think once i did. oops
  • I used to when I was a telephone operator years ago, not anymore.
  • It depends which phone I pick up - one has caller ID and the other doesn't. If it's the phone without caller ID I just say, "Hello" but if it's the other one I'll say something like, "Hi Dave, how are you?" When I used to pick up the phone at work I used to identify my department and myself.
  • i mix things up between phone and customers. sometimes someone will walk in and i'll give them the phone speech and then have to start over or try to play it off
  • I work at home so I answer the same way whenever the phone rings but I answer "Hallo" which is German for Hello. If it's a friend I talk normally. If it's A telemarketer or some type of annoying call I continue to speak in German until they finally hang up in frustration.
  • If I know who it is on my phone then I just say "Hello (their name)!" At work I say "Subway on 9th street, how can I help you?" Sometimes I forget and just say "Hello!" and that's usually when the managers are calling... LOL!! Oooops... :oP
  • At home, its usually hello...At work, its usually hello and the name of the company/department. And no I don't get the two mixed up. However, when I was temping and I worked at two different branches of a particular company, I did say the branch name wrong, and the caller pointed it out to me!! But they were fine about it as I explained why the error occur.
