Have you ever taken more than the recommended dose (2 tablets) of Tylenol or other over the counter pain reliever?

Yes - ibuprofine...recommended by the doctor for pain.

I'll almost always take a 'hospital dose' of ibuprofen, which is 800mg. I don't take pain killers very often though.

I took 4 ibuprofen one afternoon and couldn't remember anything about the afternoon that night.

I had a doctor recommend that I take 4 ibuprofen tablets at a time, rather than getting the prescription (800 mg tablets) for it. I also used to take four or five aspirin at a time. This was before I went to the Dr for my migraine headaches. I recommend going to the Dr. It is easier on the stomach and the head.
