Are you kidding?!? That is one of the worse combos of color! If one wears khaki, then maybe, but a true brown with black is totally not acceptable. Years ago, while managing two upper class shoe and apparel store in Dallas, we would always joke about those wearing such color clashes. In the fashion world, you'll only embarrass yourself if you wear brown & black together. This goes for shoes as well. Gentlemen, do yourself a favor and DO NOT wear brown shoes with black slacks or black shoes with brown slacks!

Not from a colour coordination point of view. But I don't think anyone will point and laugh if that's what you're worried about.
