Hahaha... yep! How else would I watch The Grinch, Charlie Brown's Christmas and The Muppet Family Christmas? And don't say "On DVD"... to get the full experience, it needs to be on a raggedy old VHS tape with commercials for Osh Kosh and Kate and Allie interjected every 15 minutes or so! :P

Indeed, I actually just looked away from the computer monitor to check that it was still set to tape a program.

They still work well. My partner and I are in the dark ages with an old analogue TV, no access to digital TV, no pay/cable TV. We do have a DVD player, but it cannot record.

We do. But it's broken. We're still trying to have it repaired. But we are having a hard time looking for some parts, I think they're no longer available.

Yes. I've got lots of tapes I still would like to see and I don't want to and possibly couldn't replace them all with DVDs. I like tapes. They are simple and reliable.

Yep, and an 8-track tape recorder for audio too. Somewhere around here is my machine for recording on wax rolls.

lol, I haven't seen an 8 track player in a very long time! Thanks.

Players are available in flea markets. But a recorder, that's a rarity.
Avatar Jtigger Oct, 28 2007 at 10:31 PM
