Whats the maximum number of partitions per hard drive that is supported by windows xp? is it: 1, 2, 4, 16, or 32? - it is definately one of them, but which one?

You can make 3 Primary partitions and 1 extended partition, although the extended partition can then be split down into drives, but the answer you need here is 4.

In XP you can have 4 primary partitions or 3 primary partitions and 1 extended partition, max. That being said, you can have as many logical partitions as you like as long as you have drive drive letters available to name them.
