To start from some conventional thinking, the differences between men and women in their behavior stems from their early roles: women are gatherers and men are hunters. Women, as gatherers, work in teams which communicate constantly to scare off predators and to maintain confidence that none have been abducted. Picking berries does not require quiet because the berries won't run away, so it is feasible for them to maintain a constant level of chatter to keep in constant contact. Men, as hunters, rely on stealth to harvest game, and quiet behavior is essential. So, in their two respective roles, each gender is required to focus on the task at hand, but the nature of each task requires vastly different demeanor, and for good reason. While it may seem that women are less task oriented, if their prehistoric roles are evaluated, their behavior is fully justified, and their focus is absolutely the equivalent of the man who quietly pursues his task hoping for time without interruption. Each gender has its clearly defined method, but are equivalent in their purpose.
