  • Not good
  • As an exsmoker, I understand the addiciton, but am glad I am free of it. I feel so much better. I do not want my children to smoke. On the other hand, in a free society, I do not feel we should be taxing smokers to death or making it illegal for them to smoke. Restaurants are one thing, but the laws against smoking are getting a little ridiculous.
  • Very very bad habit:(
  • I embrace the freedom that allows me to smoke. Even though the public locations become more limited each day. I can still smoke at home and in my car whenever I want. If I couldn't smoke in either location, I may think about quitting.
  • I do it occasionally. I used to be a chain smoker and I used to enjoy smoking very much. Im pleased to be relatively smoke free now. In fact, I think i've almost been extinguished entirely.
  • I don't encourage the habit but I know the dangers of trying to tell someone not to do it which can be worse for my health. I say don't start if you're thinking of doing it don't because it's not cool.
  • I do it and I hate it.
  • I feel, *gasP*, grrrrreat! *cough*
  • I'm not too fond of second hand smoke, and even when I was a smoker I didn't like it. Weird.
  • I hate it. I hate the smell, I hate everything about it. It is a very bad addiction.
  • Honestly, in my opinion it is a horrible habit, it bothers other people and kills you. OK, maybe you want to kill yourself, but you have no right to poison other people around you. I don´t want to offend anyone, it is just my opinion, but this is what I think of smoking, in fact, I can´t hear of write the word cigar or smoking without think of it as something disgusting.
  • I don't do it because I think it is bad for me. I do not judge those that do it and I don't nag them about it. I figure to each their own. I know we all have choices and I choose not to be around it so I'm not.
  • It's a bad habit and one that people rarely turn to later in life. It's purely an imagine in its infancy, then you get addicted.
  • I'm okay with it, and I don't mind being around people who are smoking, because I grew up like that. I actually used to be a smoker myself, back when I feared my parents, which is why I stopped. Now, that I'm away from their influence, I could pick it up again, but I just don't think it would be a wise use of my money. There is one thing though: I really hate those people who come up to you and fake cough loudly in your face, like their teaching you a lesson or something. I didn't think people would actually do that, but they do, and one of them did when I was smoking outside of the mall one night. She's just walking out with a bunch of other middle aged women, and she sees me and goes out of her way to walk over to me and do the cough thing right in my face. I wanted to punch her out, because that's usually what I do in a situation like that. But she was older than me and I was only fifteen, so if I did I would surely be arrested and charged with attempted murder. So, I just shot some smoke right into her open mouth, and she gagged on it. Then they all started yelling at me, so I got out of there as fast as I could before what I was smoking actually turned out to be marijuana. I know you didn't ask about all that, I just like telling that story.
  • I haven't tried smoking yet. Neither pot nor cigarettes.
  • It's a very addictive, bad habit. Not healthy at all. I hate the smell of cigarette smoke. My father smoked many years and he died due to lung cancer caused by smoking.
  • One of the leastattractive things a woman can do, or really anybody for that matter.
  • it doesn't seem like a great idea. It's guaranteed to increase your chances of getting lung cancer, plus it makes you stinky. However, it also seems like a bad idea to over-eat and line yourself up for heart disease. Or to play in traffic. Or carry a metal rod during a thunderstorm. Pick your poison, I guess.
  • I have never been or will ever be a smoker. I have friends who smoke and I see the toll it takes on their health and finances. I have one friend who is so addicted that she smokes about two packs a day and she can't afford it, so she stopped paying her phone bill and now he phone has been disconected.
  • I think smoking sucks -- it's dangerous to a persons health and worse than eating rat poison out of the box...
  • I tried smoking once for fun, and I didn't like it to begin with. I'll never try it again. I brushed all the enamel off of my teeth, just kidding. No actually everyone in my family smokes and they started smoking because of eachother. It is a health risk. My aunt died this April from lung cancer. The only thing that bothers me about it, is the smell and that it is killing the ones I love. If you have a choice, don't start. They all say it's a bad habit that they wished they could stop. Oh one funny thing: a long time ago my grandma wanted to stop smoking so she took my grandpa with her to clinic,to give her support. And my grandpa was the only one that quit. She smokes to this day and he says he still is an addict even though he hasn't smoked in years.
  • i think it a bad habbit to start, and it very hard to quit!
  • I do it and its a nasty habit. It does make me feel more relaxed though when Im stressing out about something.
  • I smoke from time to time. Just for the heck of it. But I really don't like the smell that it leaves on my hair and my clothes hehehehe.
  • Fine. I know it is bad for me but so are a million other things. I don't do them all. I enjoy it, which nobody will ever accept. But I do enjoy it. I like it. If somebody doesn't like it fine - don't smoke is my advice but leave me to do as I see fit with my own body. I know the risks. I personally think drinking is FAR worse than smoking. You don't become a boring, aggressive, obnoxious, salacious moron when you have a cigarette. Each to their own at the end of the day, Liberty and all that.
  • i hate it i quit 4 months ago
  • i hate it i quit 4 months ago
  • A disgusting nasty habit.
  • I wish I had never started.
  • I dislike the smell people have after they smoke. I used to smell like that, too. Undergoing hypnosis to quit was absolutely the best 40 bucks I ever spent in my life! That was almost 15 years ago and I do not miss it at all. I did not gain weight as a result of quitting cigarettes. My house and curtains and furniture, my hair and clothes do not smell like the bottom of an ashtray anymore. I get a small break on my health insurance as a non-smoker and I have greater lung capacity, meaning simply that I don't get 'winded' when I climb stairs or walk a block. My car does not stink like the last one that I smoked in. And just for the sake of argument, let's figure a pack a day at (conservative estimate) $3.00 a pack times 365 days a year = $1095 a year times 15 years = $16,425. that I have NOT given to the big cigarette companies to poison me. DANG - that 40 bucks WAS well-spent, huh??
  • I used to chain smoke. I gave up a few years ago I am not keen on people smoking in my home ( except conservatory) Other than that I hate born again NON smokers. If people want to smoke that is their right and all the new non smoking laws are, in my opinion, an infringement of peoples Civil Liberties
  • I'd rather have sex.
  • I'll be right back to answer this...I need to go have a cigarette first.
  • Pointless, callous, waste of money, deadly, smelly, need I go on?
  • I don't love it, but I don't hate it so bad I'm going to make a friend stand in a snowbank if they're visiting and need a cigarette. I guess I mostly wish they would quit for THEM. Costs 'em money, hurts their health, makes people discriminate against them... I can't imagine that's enjoyable. :(
  • I don't smoke, never have. to enlarge picture click on it.
  • Cool people don't smoke. Say no to smokes:)
  • Nasty, and just terrible.
  • I quit smoking several years ago and for some stupid reason started again last fall. I lit one up for the hell of it and it was delicious! after a couple of weeks they started tasing like sh*t again and it took me awhile to dump the habit again as well. I only smoked for a couple of months but I'm done with it for good this time. No more "One for old times sake" cigarettes again. It didn't take long for me to remember why I quit in the first place. I don't mind other people smoking though and occasionally even like the smell of a cigarette if someone is smoking around me but I'm completely done with it myself.
  • A waste
  • i'm not a smoker, but i don't mind when people are smoking around me. i don't hate the smell, but if i'm around it for like 10 hours i start to feel sick because of it.
  • OVER-RATED!
  • Like I need one right now
  • I'd rather have a magic brownie.
  • Stinky sticks.
  • I think it's vile.
  • Hate it
  • Suicide-on-the-installment-plan
  • I don't like it, but I'm not one of those rabid anti-smoking Nazis that believe that all smokers should be shunned. It's a personal choice so leave them alone...
  • Seeing I only have one half of my right lung, I think it's really STUPID.  My lung trouble was not from smoking.  I can't get near any smoke without getting sick. No matter how much help smokers get nowadays, they still don't mind paying $6.60 a pack!  Geeez, that's disgraceful.
  • It's a simple pleasure that can have a negative impact on your health if done to excess. Over a billion people use tobacco in one form or another, and I see it as a minor vice, like drinking coffee or enjoying an alcoholic beverage. Frankly, I think Television is far more harmfull than tobacco when done to excess.
  • Smoking is just a pastime that some enjoy and some don't. If done to excess it can hurt you, but so can other human behaviors and "bad" habbits, ( Drinking too much, overeating, overdieting, driving too fast, some extream sports, etc. ). Smoke if you care too - or don't, I don't care, it's your life - find pleasure where you can.
  • Love it! But I have to quit anyway :(
  • It is a bad habit that shortens the smoker's lifespan. I have tried it and didn't care too much for it.
  • I'm not a fan of it and my g/f does smoke. I guess we will work out some sort of a compromise.
  • Nasty habit. My 2 cents.
  • I enjoy smoking myself, as to my actuall feelings about it I have suprisingly few. To me it's a pleasure / pastime which frankly I indulge too much in to be good for me. My wife and both of daughters smoke and their smoking to me seems absoloutly normal to me and beneith any additional comment. I have many friends who smoke - and about the same number who don't, and this fact has never really crossed my mind untill now, which must say a good deal about something but I really don't know what it could be. Back to my daughters smoking - both of them started smoking in high school - which seems normal as it's when I and my wife both started, and at the time they asked me if they could smoke openly at home just seemed like normal behavior for growing kids / women in our society. Do I wish they had not started ? Hmm, not really - afterall why should I deny them the free choice to enjoy the simple pleasures of life that I myself enjoy? And actually, both of them are good kids - who are smart enough to make informed desisions on their own, and anyway, even though I call them kids, they were infact more adults then children when they requested our understanding and compliance. Smoking to me is a lifestyle choice, and it's far from being the most serious thing a person can ever do. Only antismoking zellots honestly care about tobacco usage anyway, and just like religious zellots most of us can easily ignore them if we choose to.
  • Don't care for it at all, or being around those who do, thank you.
  • I think I'm really bad at it. But no, I think it's an extremely stupid habit, that costs too much money and isn't worth losing your life over. And people smoking in my face doesn't make me very happy. Which I tell them.
  • For the moment, fine thank you.
  • I like a good cigar or two, on the weekends.
  • I am glad I never started! So many friends of mine are trying to quit and can't- plus it's so bad for your health and it's expensive!
  • i think its all in our head like everything else can quit if we put our minds to it but i dont want to i enjoy it i have 5yr old and a 17mnt old they have never seen me smoke ..i just dont when they r around.
  • i quit. i dont want to do it anymore.
  • It's not for me. I don't see much benefit in it but if others would like to smoke I have no issues with it.
  • Don't care if you do, but keep it away from me so I don't have to breathe it in and keep it away from my baby so she doesn't have to breathe it in.
  • It feels good when you drink. It feels good when your stressed.. but leaves a rather horrible taste in your mouth..that is when your not intoxicated :)
  • It's a very bad habit that no one should start doing. Causes horrid health problems, including death. And yes, I smoked almost 2 packs a day for 15 years. I woke up with severe pain in my chest, and thought I was having a heart attack. I have not touched a cigarette since. That's been 10 years ago. I started because all my friends did it and I thought it made me look good. Now, all I have are the wrinkles around my mouth and chin to remind me of how I wish I never started it, and how much I wish I had all the money I spent on cigarettes all those years ago.
  • Smoking is a great way to make tobacco executives rich while you make yourself ill and become steadily poorer.
  • I think it's disgusting!
  • None of my concern what others do with their bodies. However, learning the consequences of smoking might be a good idea, and out of respect for non smokers, I barely ever smoke around others, unless they're smokers themselves. When my boyfriend's around I chew on gum as much as I can instead, even if he tells me he doesn't mind if I smoke around him.
  • Indifferent..it's a personal choice..aka..none of my business :)
  • Im a smoker, and I like it. to those rallying to ban it, bite me, what I do on my spare time, is my business, and if you dont like me smoking, then dont be around me.
  • The only reason for people to start smoking is to 'fit in' or 'look cool'. There is no other reason whats the point of it all u get out of it is; cancer, yellow teeth and fingers and smelly breath. Why do it???????
  • well at first i thought it was the big thing, everybody else was smoking so i wanted too, i wanted to be part of it, smoke with them, and i regret starting, it made me cough cough cough, couldn't breathe properly after a while, had no energy, but luckly enough i quit 2 weeks yesterday & i feel so much better for it, i did have cravings for a fag but now im absolutley fine, if i get annoyed or stressed out i sometimes want a fag, but obviously i aint guna go and have 1, but itleast now i can breathe better and i aint always coughing :) if u aint started yet then DONT, it kills you. & if u do smoke now, quit god dammit! your killing yourself and other people around you, your children, grandchildren, partner. stop!
  • Sis, people who smoke are just plain ignorant and rude. You are breaking down the only temple that you have been given by apparently wanting to be "the next best thing". It is not cool to smoke and it smells like crap. Kiss a non-smoker and taste the difference. I am sure there are many people who will agree that even being surrounded by smokers is disgusting. By the time you are no longer around them, you end up smelling like them.
  • I feel pretty good about smoking. How do you feel about not smoking? I am sure its the same feeling I get.
  • It's terrible, which is why I just quit after almost 16 years. Day number 9.
  • I HATE the damned things, but I still smoke about 1/2 a pack a day ... which only makes me hate them more! Grrrrr!
  • To each their own but it makes my eyes itchy
  • I love it.
  • nothing beats that after dinner cigarette with a tripple expresso, that first pint fag, the post codial smoke with a hooker in a cheap motel room
  • It slowly and methodically kills mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, sons, daughters, etc. I don't like arsenic either.
  • well i thought it was the 'big' thing i started smoking when i was 12. i'm now 16, and i aint smoked in 6 weeks and 2 days :D quit, u'll feel so much better! i do :)
  • i don't do it... never have never will i'm a model and can't risk the damange to my health, hair, skin. teeth, lungs etc + 2cd hand smoke risk to others
  • Bad. I cant find my lighter to light my cigar.
  • THanks... I think I will!
  • Hate it but, not so easy to just quit either.
  • Smoking is deadly. A waste of a good life span.
  • Terrrible. I hate it. And I can't stop doing it.
  • Doesn't bother me as long as people smoke where it won't bother others. My philosophy of "Your right to swing your fist ends where my nose begins" applies to smoking too.
  • Why, are you on fire.
  • i never smoke but i dont like the smell of fags.
  • When you smoke you shorten your life span, by 10 or fifthteen years. They claim 40% of heavy smokers die before they reach a retirement age. I want to live.
  • I have a love hate relationship with smokes. I love to smoke but hate the negatives and am overwhelmed and resentful of the addiction and thought of quitting. I am fully aware of all the evils of smoking - the impact on my health, the damage it can have on others, the cost, and the disgusting factors in regard to smell and discolouration of myself and home,(huge pet peeve is when the stop smoking preachers list side effects off as if I were completely unaware). I have attempted to quit several times with no success. I know I need to truly want to quit and this is my obstacle. I want to want to quit, but seem unable to reach that point.
  • I tend to die whilst around people smoking. Makes it rather difficult to be understanding.
