Women: when buying lipstick, do you try different lipsticks on at the store? I've seen women do this then put it back if they don't like it. Do you check lipstick before you put it in your basket to make sure it hasn't been used?

I usually try it on the back of my hand, and keep the sample I like. I never buy opened lipsticks - yech.

Are we talking CVS or like Nordstrom type stores? I think that is skanky.

Ewwww! I only buy lipstick that is in some way sealed shut, i.e., with plastic wrap like you sometimes see on medication or completely enclosed in some type of sealed packaging. If I was using a tester, I would slap a little on the inside of my wrist, but never right on my mouth. Of course, my husband refers to me as the original "germophobe," (his word, not mine) but so be it.

I never try them on. I have several that I like in the tube, but hated them once I got home and put it on. I always buy the ones that are sealed. I think trying stuff like that on in the store and putting it back is disgusting..

I put the opened ones for testing on the palm of my hand to see if I like how it looks on my skin then I find the one that is sealed and buy it.

I never try them on and make sure anything I buy is sealed. That's just gross.
