Let's see... so far the two movies you and I have discussed have been odd obscure little films translated from French. Wanna take a wild guess? I DO love foreign films! I find you really have to look outside Hollywood to find interesting and unique stuff in movies anymore. I especially love French animation and Japanese horror and cyberpunk.

Of course! Indian films are great!

One or two American ones have been quite good, if a little shallow on plot and over-reliant on special effects.
-
I sure do and I have seen excellent non-English films from all over the globe which have been of excellent quality.

Yes. Amelie, Pans Labrinyth are the two that come to mind. I love recommendations, though.

On my blockbuster list, most of the movies I rent are foriegn with subtitles. I prefer them for two reasons: The stories are always better then the predictable films we have here and I have a disability called CAPD which garbles spoken words in my brain and causes me to "not hear" what is being said. I've learned to adapt and watching captions or subtitles and pulling the picture in at the same time, still gives me the whole story line. Some of my favorites are La Strada, Babettes feast, Ponette.
