  • So you're anti-war? That's great as long as everyone is anti-war...one guy comes rollin at you with a tank and you'll wish you had one of your own.
  • I'm not really sure if he is pro-war. But if ever he is indeed pro-war, it's only to liberate his people from Chinese invaders.
  • The Dalai Lama is not pro-war. He will reluctantly concede that in some very rare circumstances, violence may be justified. • I know your question is about the Dalai Lama, but I just wanted to mention Mother Teresa is not as wonderful as people believe either!
  • I saw him speak at Rutgers University (I think its a year or two ago). He had a translator but ended up mostly speaking for himself. Boy, was he an amazing presence. He was a guest speaker and the topic was the war in Iraq. It was in the stadium on a rainy day and the venue still sold out, there were tens of thousands of people there. He is certainly not for war of any kind, not then, not now, not ever. He is peace. He said that he does not blame a man like G-Dub for thinking that this was a good option, considering how he was raised, who he surrounds himself with, what his real intentions are. His message was one of real change, that you have to start small.. Don't pick that flower because that bee might have needed its pollen and that honeycomb certainly needed its honey and the honeycomb needed its place in the world so that there are less evil things.. The more room, the more room gets taken up. Not to mention the fact that now you leave your home each day and as you walk off of your porch, you have one less thing of beauty to be overwhelmed by. Any sources you hear or read to the contrary are not reliable. I heard it straight from the horses mouth and WOW was that quite a slam into my selfish psyche..
