Martina McBride has a way more powerful voice than faith Hill as well as superior range and depth. It isn't even close from the technical vocal perspective. Whose music you like better is another question all together.

Martina, simply because she has been around longer and her songs deal with real life situations. People can relate to her songs especially women, I think.

If I have to pick from the two, I'd have to say Martina. Faith is good, but she just doesn't move me. MY personal fav is Reba, her music is powerful and I catch myself in tears over her sometimes. Good luck with your argument!!! :)

Don't ya'll know these two women are the best of friends? Just thought I would put that in for the heck of it. Anyway, I can join in and say Martina has better voice but since I am a HUGE Martina Mcbride fan who has bought every album she has put out, I am afraid my opionion would be a bit biased. I think the better singer is in the eye of the beholder so to speak. I did not care for Faith a few years back because media outlets crammed her down the public throats (this was MY perception doesn't mean anyone has to agree-just trying to make a point). The last album Faith put out brought her back home to country music. "Mississippi Girl" reminded me why I fell in love with her when I was introduced to her music years ago. Instead of answering the question of who has better voice, I am going to answer my own: Why is country music lucky to call Faith Hill and Martina Mcbride their own? Because these two women make country music appealling to the masses. They are our modern day Tammy Wynette, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline and Barbara Mandrell. Thank You for allowing me to express myself.
