I would be amazed. Offended? I would feel degraded that an old man could pass me while jogging. I would feel I need to get into shape.
-
It happens to me all the time whilst out cycling, but these old people have probably been at it for donkey's years. You should aspire to be more like them when you're old, don't be offended.

Happy for him that he's in such good shape - nice kick in the pants for me to get my act in gear.
-
Sorry dude, I didn't mean to make you feel bad, I was just having a good day! :oD
-
You said they are old; maybe they have poor eyesight and cannot see very good. Or maybe you are not his/her type.
-
Keep an eye out for cameras (it might really be Johnny Knoxville)

Amazed! It means you're for all shapes and sizes hehehe

Why would it offend you? You will be old one day too, & hopefully you will be blessed with the ability to run & exercise at that age. Amazement is not the word I would use...more like admiration. I live in FL, which is the old people capital of the world & I see too many elderly people that are so sick that they cannot even leave the house. I would have smiled at him as he passed. We should all be so lucky as to be that age & still be strong. I just hope he wasn't running faster than you...that would be EMBARRASSING!!!

So offended wasn't the right word. But I was truly amazed! I hope I have the stamina as I age. I suppose I'm losing my funk. But then again I am pregnant. Yes I will use that to make me feel better......You go grandpa!

There's no need to be offended. Perhaps looking up to these people you call "old geezers" should be the approach you're going to take next time. After all, these people you call "old geezers" are people, too. Respect your elders and consider this person you call an "old geezer" an elderly gentlemen who happened to pass you while you were out jogging. Let him be an inspiration to you, an inspiration who encourages you to stay healthy.
