Maybe a slumber party with 4 or 5 of her close friends. Maybe a roller skating in the afternoon, and they up all night gossiping.

Have a make-over party. Get a whole bunch of cheap make-up, nail and hair stuff with maybe some books on make-up and hair tips and let them have at it.

When my daughter turned 12 she was inseperable with two other friends that were turning 12 several months later so i called the parents and planned a trip to dinsneyland for all of us. We did'nt tell the girls untill we got on the plane and they shrilled in harmony. The week long trip was incredible because I was able to preferential tickets for some of the shows but now I have to come up with something better when she turns 16 next Febuary!

Silk Scarf Parties are a blast. Everyone gets to dye their own silk scarf using different techniques to get patterns, etc. The silk scarf kits are $15 each and every girl gets her own scarf and set of 3 primary color dyes with measuring pipettes. There are instructions on dyeing in the kit and because the dyes set instantly you can lay color upon color upon color.
