I did and still will. It's no different than a land animal that's a carnivore. Don't advertise yourself as a snack and you won't be one if the critter is actually thinking about it. I've swum with Black tips,Tigers , Nurse and Lemon's. No issues and I actually gave the Nurse, Lemon and Black tip a rub, 'cause they're cute. Don't fall into the media's trap. They need to sell news. What's better than Paris Hilton or shark to grab attention? A recent example is Brit couple, a month back that did the " Open Water" movie true to life experience for a few hours. Most media outlets used "shark infested" as a head line. Did they see a shark before their rescue? Nope.

Always. Sharks are not bad animals in fact they are great to cage dive and free dive with. People fear what they do not know. Once you get to know the sharks you begin to understand they are not as dangerous as the popular press makes out.

Considering I only ever dare get my big toe soggy at the sea - side, I am highly unlikely to encounter any Jaws - wannabes (also I live in the UK). However if I did go somewhere exotic and a man - eating monster did have a nosey in my direction or take a nibble out of me, I would just thank my lucky stars I'd lived to tell the tale. What a conversation - piece that would be. I suppose it's like riding a bike the sooner you get back on after a fall, the less fearful you'll be. So yes I would reenter the watery - realm again, and I certainly wouldn't blame the shark. I put myself in his environment, so it would be my fault. Good question by the way U.
